Juniors start off with a win
The under 15s contiuned from where they left off last season with a victory over Eagley. Phil Cavill and Danny Sharples both retired with 50+.The scorecard can be found at Here
1st and 2nds get off to a great start
Both teams got off to a winning start to the season in the opening games of the season. 4 wickets each from Liam Bones and Peter Skuse restricted Eagley to 117ao. Horwich reached the target with just one wicket remaining.
Last few sportsmans tickets remain
We have a handful of tickets remaining for our sportsmans dinner with Norman Whiteside. The dinner takes place on Friday 6th June. Email Horwichrmicc@hotmail.com to reserve your ticket
New Pro at the Recreation Ground
Horwich RMI Cricket Club are delighted to announce the new signing of Dheeraj Jadhav as our pro for the 2008 season. Dheeraj has been playing in the Indian Cricket League for the Mumbai Champs. He has had a great winter finishing the top run scorer in the competition. We have high hopes of a succesfull season and we are looking forward to welcoming Dheeraj to the Recreation Ground. Former Pro, David White, has signed for Farnworth C.C and we wish him all the best at his new club.
Other new faces at the Recreaion Ground
We have a number of new faces at the club for the 2008 season.
First up, Rak Mahmood - Rak has signed from Clifton in the Central Lancashire League. Rak has already shown his ability in helping us reach the final of the indoor trophy earlier this year.
Jake Wilde is a young wicket keeper who has signed from Worsley C.C. Jake is a smashing keeper and a livewire off the pitch!! I am sure he will fit in well at the Recreation Ground.
Chris Baxendale is a promising young batsman signed from Tonge C.C. Still only 17 years old, Chris has already played 1st x1 cricket for Tonge last season.
